Unfortunately, we didn’t play as much golf in Taiwan as we had hoped. The reason why is probably twofold. First, the weather never really cooperated with us during our month-long clockwise journey around the delicious Island. And second, we probably hadn’t quite figured out yet how traveling and golf were going to work together.

We spent our first week in the capital city of Taipei where we went to the Qungian Park Driving Range to hit some balls.

While we were in Kaohsiung, we took a taxi to the Kaohsiung Golf and Country Club but didn’t end up playing golf.

After finishing our trip back to Taipei, we had an experience at Taipei Golf Club that we will never forget. No, the golf itself isn’t what we will remember. But, that time when we wanted to play golf but couldn’t use a credit card and the ATM was broken and we only had enough cash for one of us to play and then we used all our cash to play golf and didn’t have enough money for a taxi and ended up asking for a ride to the train station from a member (we think!)- now THAT will be the golf story that we talk about forever!

Taiwan is a country that we would love to come back to. And when we do, we definitely want to play more golf in Taiwan. And carry more cash!
